Customer.io

Connect your Customer.io account to Dynamo with an App API Key.

Customer.io Integration

Connect your Customer.io account to Dynamo in just a few minutes. You'll create a dedicated App API Key, and Dynamo will use it to build Meta Custom Audiences from your Customer.io segments.

Dynamo only reads from your Customer.io account — it lists your segments, reads their size, and exports member emails for syncing. It never creates, updates, or deletes people, segments, campaigns, or any other resources.

Create a Customer.io App API Key

In Customer.io, go to Settings → Account Settings → API Credentials.

Open the App API Keys tab and click Create App API Key.

Give it a descriptive name (e.g. Dynamo Integration) and copy the key.

This must be an App API Key (used with the App API), not a Track API key pair — Dynamo will reject Track credentials.

Region

Customer.io accounts live in either the US or EU data center. Pick yours when connecting — and don't worry if you're unsure: Dynamo probes the connection on both regions and auto-corrects the region if the key answers on the other data center.

Enter your credentials in Dynamo

Go to your organization's Integrations settings in Dynamo and add a new Customer.io integration. Dynamo validates the credentials immediately to confirm the connection is working.

What Dynamo reads

EndpointWhy we need it
List segmentsShow your Customer.io segments in a dropdown.
Segment details & countDisplay each segment's name and size before syncing.
Segment membershipExport member emails from a selected segment — paged, read-only.

The exported emails are used to build a Meta Custom Audience you can then target with Dynamo marketing messages.
